Travis Barker and the rest of the gang from Blink-182 expressed their sorrow about the loss of Barker’s longtime friend DJ AM.
“This night is really hard for us on stage. We lost a dear friend yesterday. His name was Adam Goldstein. You probably know him as DJ AM. He was an innovator and a genius and he loved music more than anything else. Above all he was a dear friend,” said bassist Mark Hoppus.
During the concert, the band asked for a moment of silence from the audience. As the lights dimmed, audience members raised their lighters and the group began to cry.
DJ AM, 36, was found dead in his apartment on Aug. 28. His real name was Adam Goldstein.
